Capturing Moments, Creating Memories: Mapping Out My Ultimate Bucket List
I know, I know….most people start their bucket list at the beginning of the year. Not the middle of it. That’s what I was going to do too, but then I thought why wait? So, what if it is July and not January?
Bucket lists are for dreaming big and doing something that excites you! According to Provision Living, 77% of the people they surveyed had some sort of a travel goal on their bucket list.
What is a Bucket List?
A bucket list is basically a list of things you want to do. It’s like a collection of goals and dreams for your life that you hope to accomplish someday.
It’s a way for individuals to set goals, dream big, and make the most of their lives by seeking out meaningful experiences.
You can also call it a “wish list” or “life goals list.” I actually like these names better, maybe you would too if you know where the name bucket list came from.
Why is it Called a Bucket List?
The term “bucket list” comes from the phrase “kick the bucket,” which is a term for dying or passing away.
The term became popular after the release of the 2007 film “The Bucket List,” starring Jack Nicholson and Morgan Freeman, which was about two terminally ill men going on a journey to complete their own lists of goals before they died.
Why Create a Bucket List?
Creating a bucket list isn’t just making a list of things you want to do. It’s about setting goals and growing as a person. It pushes us to try new things, learn new skills, and be more adventurous. When we figure out what we really want in life and chase after those dreams, we’re taking control and focusing on what’s most important to us.
A bucket list helps you find purpose and direction, leading you toward meaningful experiences and personal development.
